2024 marked the sixth year of Mohawk’s partnership with Wreaths Across America, a non-profit organization dedicated to decorating veterans’ graves for the holiday season at cemeteries all across the United States and overseas.
“Especially with so many of Mohawk’s drivers being veterans, Wreaths Across America is a personal mission for us,” said Andy Yearout, VP of Transportation and Logistics. “We are honored to partner with this organization for the sixth year in a row and help deliver wreaths for veterans’ graves across the nation. It’s a small way that we can recognize the sacrifices of our country’s military members and their families.”
Every year, Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies in December at thousands of locations in all 50 states and beyond. This year, Mohawk Drivers are transporting loads to several cemeteries, including Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery, Chattanooga National Cemetery, Knoxville National Cemetery, and Arlington National Cemetery. Thank you to our drivers, Stan and Wendy Ponder, Jamie Calvert, Lester Moore, Ron and Lea Eppich, Mike Miller, James Allen, Tim Langford, Willie Thurmond, Eric Salisbury and Brad Utley.
“Wreaths Across America is a very special tradition, and I appreciate all of the drivers who dedicate their talent to making the trips, the organizers and Wreaths Across America themselves for honoring our veterans each and every year,” said Micah Riggle, Senior Director of HR – Supply Chain. “But most importantly, I appreciate the sacrifice of so many veterans and their families so that I enjoy the freedom that I do on a daily basis. I am constantly reminded of that blessing, but no more so than on a Saturday in December every year.”
Thank you to all of our drivers who provided their time and service for this special mission. Make sure to check out the photos below from this past month’s Wreaths Across America Day!
